The IoT QuickStart Kit is shipped with a pre-installed and pre-configured application.
Optional configuration possibilities
The configuration PC must be connected to the router for further individual configuration.
Shall the router be configured for Internet access via Ethernet or WLAN (Wi-Fi)?
Another Internet connection can be configured to save cellular traffic or in case of poor reception conditions.
Shall the router provide a WLAN (Wi-Fi) access point?
The router can also be configured as WLAN (Wi-Fi) access point to enable third-party devices for a connection to its network (e.g. its Dashboard).
Shall the Dashboard be extended by further values or indications?
Shall another Modbus device be read out and displayed?
Shall a connection to Cumulocity Cloud be established?
Shall a connection to the ThingsBoard IoT platform be established?
Protecting the application for productive operation
The default passwords for router, application and services are used for commissioning. The default passwords must be changed to individual, secure passwords before the productive operation is started. |
