Additional Internet connection via WLAN (Wi-Fi)

The router provides a wizard for an additional Internet connection. This permits to configure an Internet connection via a WLAN (Wi-Fi) network that exists at the site easily.

  • Enter the address https://192.168.1.1 in a web browser and open the web interface of the router.

  • Login using the default credentials Name: insys and Password: icom.

  • Click on the question mark in the title bar (Display help text) and show the inline help regarding the individual configuration parameters. Further information is also available in the online help that can be opened using the links in the inline help of the respective subject.

  • Under HelpWizards start the Additional Internet connection wizard.

  • Select as Interface wlan1.

  • Enter as Description for example WLAN (Wi-Fi) connection.

  • Enter under SSID the network identifier of the WLAN (Wi-Fi) network.

  • Select the protocol according to the encryption method used by the WLAN (Wi-Fi) network.

  • Enter under Pre-shared key the network key of the WLAN (Wi-Fi) network.

  • If the network has a DHCP server, select DHCP client, otherwise configure a static IP address from the WLAN (Wi-Fi) network.

  • If this new Internet access is to be used primarily, change in the WANWAN chains menu the order of the WAN chains using the buttons and . Then, the uppermost connection will be established first, and the following only in case of a failure.

  • Activate the modified profile with the button (Activate profile).

You have configured an Internet connection via a WLAN (Wi-Fi) network that exists at the site already with this.
