Using the icom Connectivity Suite is bound to the purchase of VPN licences. These licences are listed in the Licences list.

A click on menu down of the Licences dropdown list permits to search a licence and directly open their Licence information.

  • The ID column lists the unique identification number of this licence. This identifier cannot be changed to ensure continuous tracking. A click on the ID takes you to the Licence information of this licence.

  • The Device column lists the device in the icom Connectivity Suite – VPN to which this licence is assigned to.

  • The name of this licence is listed in the Name column. The name assigned by the icom Connectivity Suite – VPN can also be edited with a click on the ID in the Licence information.

  • The Scope column lists the type of the licence, which defines the scope of this licence. The two licence types are Unrestriced and Flexible.

  • The Valid until column lists the end of the validity period of this licence.

  • The Renewal column indicates the duration for which this licence will be renewed upon expiry. Unrestricted licences can be set to Not Set, 1 Year and 2 Years. Flexible licences can be set to Do not renew (expire at the end of the month) or Monthly (are automatically renewed at the end of the month).

  • The Free column indicates whether this licence has been made available free of charge. Contact your distributor to discuss the options for free licences.

  • The Contract Number column indicates with which Contract number this licence has been ordered. This number is used when invoicing new or renewed licences.

  • The _Order number: column indicates with which order this licence has been ordered. This number is used when invoicing new or renewed licences.

The date of the last update of the list is appears in the upper right corner of the list. A click on refresh updates the list immediately. All timestamps are in CET.

A click on plus blue ORDER LICENCES permits to directly order further licences.

The visible columns of the list are defined with a click on view column COLUMNS. A filter variant FILTER permits the list to be filtered by searched content. Changes to the columns and applied filters will be reset the next time the page is loaded. tray arrow down EXPORT permits to export the visible content of the list after applying the filters to a CSV file (storage upon applying the in the download directory of the browser) or print it. The name of the CSV file contains the time at which the data was generated and does not have to match the time of the export.

  • The most important properties of this licence are listed in the Properties field.

    • The Licence Name is assigned by the icom Connectivity Suite – VPN and can be changed by clicking on icon:pencil-Change licence.

    • Assigned Device lists the device in the icom Connectivity Suite – VPN to which this licence is assigned to. A click on pencil blue Change device permits to assign a (different) device. A device that is not assigned a valid licence cannot establish a connection to the icom Connectivity Suite – VPN, its status is displayed as No licence. footnote[If a licence was removed from a device in the classic view (user interface), the checkbox disabled has been activated in the Manage device window; if a licence is assigned to the device again, its status changes to deactivated and it must first be reactivated (in the classic view) before it can establish a connection to the icom Connectivity Suite – VPN].

    • The period by which this license will be renewed after expiry is displayed under Renewal; the renewal can be changed by clicking on pencil blue Change renewal.

    • The Valid until field indicates the end of the validity period of this licence.

    • The Scope field specified the type of the licence, which defines the scope of this licence. The following licence types are available:

      • Flexible: These licences provide full VPN functionality from their creation. Depending on the setting in the Renewal field, they are automatically renewed monthly (Monthly) or expire at the end of the last day of a month (Do not renew). Expired flexible licences cannot be renewed any more. Flexible licences can be transferred to all registered devices. These licences are part of the article icom Connectivity Suite – VPN Flex (or the corresponding article of a partner).

      • Unrestricted: These licences provide full VPN functionality from their creation until their designated expiry date. Depending on the setting in the Renewal field, they are renewed in 1 or 2 year intervals (1 Year or 2 Years) or expire at the end of the last day of their validity (Do not renew). Expired unrestricted licences cannot be renewed any more. Unrestricted licences can be transferred to all registered devices. These licences are part of the articles icom Connectivity Suite – VPN Service (1 Year), icom Connectivity Suite – VPN Service (2 Years) or icom Connectivity Suite – VPN Service Add-On (or the corresponding articles of a partner).

      • Classic: Classic licences provide full VPN functionality from their creation until their designated expiry date, usually ten years from the date of creation. Classic licences are no longer available and are normally replaced by INSYS with automatically renewing flexible licences. Contact your sales partner if you have any questions about this. Classic licences can be transferred to all registered devices.

  • The Information field contains details of the contract under which this license has been acquired.

    • The Customer No. (INSYS) field indicates the customer number assigned by INSYS to the customer who purchased this licence.

    • The Customer No. (Partner) field indicates the customer number assigned by the INSYS sales partner to the customer who purchased this licence.

    • The Contract Number field indicates with which Contract number this licence has been ordered.

    • The Order Number: field indicates with which order this licence has been ordered.

  • All activities, i.e. changes related to this licence, are listed in the Activities field. For details in the table refer to Activities.
