Update, licences and functional scope
Update
The update of the icom Data Suite to a new version is identical with the first installation as described in the Quick Installation Guide as long as the name of the container that contains the icom Data Suite has not been modified after installation. The content of the container with the icom Data Suite will be overwritten with this. An existing configuration will be maintained, but their function cannot be provided due to the extended functionality.
Licences and functional scope
The icom Data Suite requires a valid licence with the respective activated functionality after installation. The scope of the licence is displayed in the Status menu on the Licence page. An overview of the different licences with and without costs as well as the possibility for purchase is available from your sales partner.
It is also possible to start a trial period in the Status menu on the Licence page. All functions of the icom Data Suite are available without any limitations until the expiry of this trial period. The trial period expires only during the actual operation of the icom Data Suite.
Contact your sales partner if you want to extend the scope of your licence, for example after expiry of the trial period or updating to a new version of the icom Data Suite with extended functionality. Have the serial number of the router ready for this. The serial number of the router is displayed in the Status menu on the Device info page in the web interface of the router or in the Status menu on the Overview page in the web interface of the icom Data Suite.
The scope and functionality is stored in a device-individual licence file. The licence file will be provided in a licence packet that consists of the licence file and an installation script. In order to install the licence packet for the icom Data Suite, proceed as follows in the web interface of the router:
- Upload the licence packet in the Administration menu on the Update page:
If the name of the container that contains the icom Data Suite has been modified after installation, it is necessary to assign the licence file to the container manually. The following steps in the web interface of the router are necessary for this:
- Assign the licence file in the Administration menu on the Container page to the container with the icom Data Suite in the column Licence.
- Save settings and Activate profile.
